Vision Project

The “Vision” project is intended as a community project, initially lead by the Innovation Centre, that will include a wide range of art and science that is related in some way to Vision. It is envisaged that there will be a blend of art and science, covering a wide range of traditional and modern skills. The world “Vison” can have very different meanings, therefore its up to individuals to interpret it as they wish.

My Digital and AI art is complex by design. The fun for me is giving equal weight to the creativity and innovation of the process used to create the work, the concepts and the final product. As I use Art, Science and AI, there’s a lot of scope. I use notebooks to document the processes and thinking behind my work, a number of which are included under this project.

There is quite a lot of material, on this site, that can be incorporated within the project. There is also a lot of readily available material that hasn’t previously been published. It should therefore be possible get something up and running reasonably quickly on the Digital Art and AI side. However, expanding the scope to include more traditional skills and making the move from an Innovation Centre Project to a Community Project could take a little longer.

Although the initial direction of the project has been set, it is by no means fixed, as the aim is for it to evolve in different directions. The key objective is that it will cover a wide range of arts and sciences, and be inclusive.

It is hoped that a wide range of people will get involved and have fun.

The top image was created by combining complex fractal graphics, using Digital Art, and reimagining using AI.

The image below was created using a similar technique. It illustrates Vision from a different perspective. It shows light traveling on mysterious probability waves and questions the nature of reality. AI seems to agree – Yes, the concept of light traveling as probability waves does indeed question the nature of reality. Fractal graphics were chosen as they also question our understanding of the world. AI – Absolutely, Chaos Theory and Fractal Graphics significantly challenge and expand our understanding of the world.
