U3A Talk

I’ve added the pics I used for a talk to Formby U3A on the benefits, concerns and potential future developments of AI. It was a fun talk so I created lots of images and talked around them. I’m dyslexic so don’t read from notes. I also took along some robotics, single board computers, Edge AI units, a few of my better pictures, a number of the children’s story books I create for the family and a few my research notes created using AI.

I’ll just cover the first image which was shown as people entered the room. I thought it would be interesting to illustrate how far Generative AI has come over the last year. I created the image and then asked AI to describe what it saw. It wasn’t what I was thinking but illustrates how AI interprets an image. “A futuristic scene depicting a robot and a woman reaching out to each other, surrounded by ethereal light and swirling energies, symbolizing the connection between technology and humanity”. Interesting !!
