Combining art, science and AI enables those who are excluded from engaging in their interests, due to an impediment, to achieve things not previously possible.
In more extreme cases, where people have very limited movement, AI embedded sensors can be used to control computers that can help in creating artwork or undertake research. The sensor can be controlled by sound, simple gestures or minimal movements. However, in many cases AI can be used for additional support or to work alongside a human assistant. In other cases AI assistants can be used or work alongside human assistants.
The ability of AI to undertake tasks, enables people to focus on imagination, creativity and innovation. Things can be achieved that weren’t possible even a year ago. However, the game changer is that a collaborative approach can be used were individuals, assistants, AI assistants and teams across a wide geography can work together.
Below is a very simple example of art and a story, were AI is used. The image was created by using a simple AI assistant, digital art and an AI art tool. The story was created using an AI assistant. However, I chose this one from a selection of stories, created using a variety of tools. They were all of a similar standard. This was produced some time ago and as AI is improving at an exponential rate a story produced today could be far better.

Across the ocean, in the sun-kissed city of San Francisco, resided Liam, a boy whose hands danced across canvases, transforming blank spaces into masterpieces. Bound to his bed, he could only express his artistic prowess through the subtle movements of his fingers, yet his imagination captured the essence of beauty and emotion. His brushstrokes breathed life into his visions, bringing them to life on the painted surface.
In the heart of the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, amidst the vibrant chaos of the Indian subcontinent, lived Ravi, a young boy whose mind was an engineering marvel. Confined to his wheelchair, his ingenuity knew no bounds. He could envision and construct complex robotic contraptions, his mind an intricate orchestra of gears and circuits. His creations brought motion and order to his world, bridging the gap between his physical limitations and his boundless imagination.
And in the serene countryside of Scotland, amidst the rolling hills and emerald landscapes, lay Emily, a young girl whose vision transcended the physical realm. Her mind’s eye could perceive the interconnectedness of all things, the delicate balance of nature, and the profound beauty of the universe. She could see patterns and connections that eluded others, her perception a window into the unseen.
Their paths crossed through the digital tapestry of the internet, brought together by a shared passion for creativity and a desire to transcend their physical limitations. They formed Aria, an alliance of AI, art, and robotics, their names merging to represent their unique talents: Sakura, the Dreamer; Liam, the Artist; Ravi, the Builder; Emily, the Visionary.
Together, they created art that defied the boundaries of their confinement. Sakura’s stories inspired Liam’s brushstrokes, Ravi’s robots brought Liam’s creations to life, and Emily’s vision guided their artistic endeavours. They crafted interactive installations, immersive experiences, and living artworks that transcended the limits of their physical reality.
Their creations became a beacon of hope and inspiration, reaching out to millions across the globe. Children battling similar challenges found solace in their stories, artists found new avenues of expression, and tech enthusiasts marvelled at their innovative creations.
